Welcome
Mission Statement We provide home repair services for
elderly and disadvantaged homeowners to keep them warm, safe, dry and living independently.
Who We Are Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit organization, formerly
known as Christmas in April. We perform home repairs and modifications for elderly, disabled,
and low-income homeowners. We believe that all people have the right to live with dignity and
independence, as long as possible, in a home that is warm, safe, and dry. Founded in 1996,
Rebuilding Together Colorado Springs is the local affiliate of
Rebuilding Together National.

Purpose of Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together Colorado Springs is recognized as the only non-profit organization
in the Colorado Springs area (all of El Paso and Teller Counties) whose focus is to help
low-income disabled and seniors remain safely in their homes and live independently for a
longer period of time. By performing simple home modifications, we are able to make their
lives more safe and comfortable. Although other non-profit organizations address many of
the needs of senior and handicapped people, what makes Rebuilding Together Colorado Springs
unique is that we primarily use volunteers to implement our programs and accomplish our projects.
This serves a two-fold purpose of providing the needed repairs/modifications for our recipients,
but also provides our volunteers with a positive experience while serving their community.
This brings together willing individuals who witness first-hand the need in our area and
enables them to help make a difference.
